In its 15th edition, the Annual Community Charity Carol Concert, AmuwoCarol 2023, hosted by the SOP Initiative, welcomed over 3000 attendees for a remarkable celebration of unity, compassion, and the spirit of giving.
The theme, “Perfect Harmony: Col 3:14,” echoed throughout the event, fostering a sense of togetherness that transcended geographical boundaries.
The evening commenced with a breathtaking lineup of Free Worship performances, featuring the talents of Ewetayo Modupeoluwa, Adaramaja, David’s Praise, Tumi Plus, Jesus’ Beloved, and Oscar Richard. Their harmonious melodies set the stage for an evening of spiritual reflection and celebration.

- Cultural Infusion: The event kicked off with a mesmerizing blend of poetry by SOP Arts Family, setting the tone for a night that celebrated not only the diversity within the community but also the rich cultural tapestry that defines Amuwo Odofin.
- Soulful Serenades: Minister Ewaoluwa Sax and David’s Band mesmerized the audience with soul-stirring ministrations, bringing a transcendent musical experience to AmuwoCarol 2023.
- Enchanting Readings: Bible readings by Pastor Seyi Adegoke-Adeyemo and the SOP Music Family added a spiritual touch, emphasizing the true essence of Christmas.
- Dazzling Dance Performances: The SOP Arts Family graced the stage with captivating dance performances, reflecting the community’s vibrant and dynamic spirit.
- ConnectCharity Triumph: The ConnectCharity project, “Games of Giving,” achieved unprecedented success, raising a staggering N1.5 million to provide nourishment and joy to 500 families in need. Seun Ayeni, the SOP Initiative’s current president, presented a heartfelt report, highlighting the tremendous impact made possible by the community’s generous donors.
- Inspiring Charge: Pastor Jason Daniel Afolabi delivered a stirring charge, urging the community to carry the spirit of giving beyond the event and into their daily lives.
- Prayers for Community Unity: Rev. Banji Oladipo led a powerful prayer for community unity, emphasizing the importance of standing together in the face of challenges.
- Spectacular Musical Ministrations: EOG, K-leb Shout, Minister Shalom, and other guest artists delivered electrifying musical ministrations that resonated with the diverse audience.
- Presidential Address: Seun Ayeni delivered an inspiring speech, expressing gratitude for the community’s overwhelming support and shedding light on the SOP Initiative’s commitment to positive change.
