‘Gold, Frankincense, and Myrrh’ was the theme of the 2022 Children’s Party, as was the main carol. The purpose of the event was to ensure that the children of the community had a fun-filled day while also leading them to God by admonishing them with God’s words. The master of ceremonies, MC Coco, was a lot of fun, and the kids had a great time with him. To begin the event, he summoned a child from the audience to deliver the opening prayer. One of the participating children delivered the opening prayer. Following that, Mr. Seun Ayeni, President of the Symphony of Praise Initiative (SOP Initiative), was welcomed on stage for his opening remarks.
The President thanked parents for entrusting their children to the event’s organizers in his opening remarks. He also invited the children’s party planning committee, led by Seyi Ehikoya-Osagie, and other members, including Adebola Oluwaseun-Ayeni and Felicia Wole-Dopemu, to the stage to celebrate them and recognize the effort they had put into the planning.
The MC organized a few games for the kids and awarded prizes to the winners immediately following the president’s speech. The kids then went to see Santa Claus, who gave them presents. Other activities for the kids included dancing, bouncing castles, and games. The event concluded at 4:30 p.m., with an estimated 500 children present.
