SOP Initiative Hosts Annual Team Appreciation Party and Awards Ceremony

The Symphony of Praise (SOP) Initiative family gathered on Sunday 12th January 2025 for their much-anticipated Annual Team Appreciation Party, held at Sweet Sensation Restaurant, Apple Junction, Amuwo Odofin. The event, which kicked off at 3 PM, brought together over 50 members, including the enthusiastic children’s team, Heralds, in a spirit of reflection, celebration, and camaraderie.

Celebrating Wins and Learning from Flops

As is tradition, the team reflected on the highlights and challenges of their recent flagship event, AmuwoCarol 2024, themed “TOGETHER.” Discussions centered on lessons learned and celebrated successes, providing valuable insights for future projects. Members also shared heartfelt testimonies, reinforcing the commitment and passion that define SOP’s mission.

The event wasn’t all business—members participated in games that fostered team bonding and filled the room with laughter and joy.

The highlight of the evening was the Awards Ceremony, where outstanding members and teams were recognized for their contributions throughout the year.

A New Era of Leadership

The event also marked a significant transition with the swearing-in of the 2025 SOP Executive Team by SOP President Oluwaseun Ayeni. Heartfelt speeches were delivered, including one from outgoing Finance and General Administration Head Tunde Adenuga, who reflected on his time in office.

The new executive team includes both returning and new members, with notable changes such as Funmi Amugo, formerly of the E05 team, now heading the Finance Team while serving as SOP Vice President.

In his address, President Ayeni charged the new leaders to embrace their roles with dedication and prayed alongside the entire SOP family for a fruitful year ahead. The new executives will hold their inaugural meeting on Sunday, January 19, 2025.

The event reaffirmed SOP Initiative’s commitment to fostering teamwork, celebrating excellence, and creating lasting impact in the community. With the baton passed to the 2025 leadership team, the future of SOP shines even brighter.
